The Atlantis is a bit of a vacation icon. The Atlantis, which is not only a resort but also a waterpark, opened up on Paradise Island in 1998. There are several towers present on the massive Bahama resort property, including The Cove Atlantis, which is a luxury hotel with 600 suites. The property is also home to the Reef Atlantis. The Beach Tower, Coral Towers, and Royal Towers are all part of the property, as is the Harborside Resort, which consists of villas and its restaurant and pool area. The Cove includes Dolphin Cay, and The Reef is the newest addition to the property, which features hotel residences and condos.

If you want an adults-only trip, opt for the Cove, which also has an adults-only pool. There are also beach and pool cabanas, and outdoor gambling options at The Cove. The Reef is luxurious but is for families. It’s the only hotel on the property that includes kitchens as a standard individual room feature. Situated between these two hotels are the Paradise Beach and Cascades pool.

Many people prefer to stay at Reef and Cove because they tend to be less crowded and the furthest from the adventure park.

The beaches are often visitors favorite aspect of staying at The Atlantis, but Paradise Lagoon is also a favorite. It’s a man-made lagoon with sea water and there are opportunities for snorkeling and swimming in an environment that feels safe and contained.

Also notable is the massive Aquaventure, which is the largest water park in the Caribbean. Cruise ship visitors often take excursions here, so it does get crowded, particularly in the middle of the day.

If you’re traveling with little ones you’ll certainly love the Atlantis Kids Adventure. There are caregivers, and the club is divided by age. They have everything from playrooms to Xbox stations, and there are even scheduled activities like cooking classes.

The Dig and The Casino are two more big draws of The Atlantis. The Dig is an attraction which an archeological style exhibit. The Casino is 60,000 square feet and offers the perfect venue for people looking for fun gambling and adults-only time.

The property includes a sprawling golf course and available golf packages, and you can also attend the Ocean Club Golf Academy. The Mandara Spa features European-style services as well as plunge pools, and steam and sauna rooms. There’s also a couple’s spa suite and even a Time for Men barber service option.

There are an incredible 21 restaurants on the property of The Atlantis, as well as 19 bars. One of the signature eateries is Mesa Grill, by celebrity chef Bobby Flay. It features Southwestern-style fare with some Bahamian inspiration. There’s also plenty of family-friendly and lower cost dining options including family-style meals and buffets. Other fine dining options include Nobu, Chop Stix, Olives and Seafire Steakhouse. Each of the restaurants feels distinctively unique, so you have a vast selection of dining options without ever having to leave the property.
