The Overview

The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician is a luxury boutique hotel that’s part of the Phoenician, located in Scottsdale.

The hotel is about seven minutes from the airport, and it’s rated as both a Forbes Five-Star hotel and an AAA Five Diamond venue.

The property includes nine pools, eight bars and restaurants, a spa and a kids’ club. There’s also a 27-hole golf course located on the property and an abundance of retail options.

You’ll find The Canyon Suites at the base of the scenic Camelback Mountain, providing a rugged and natural desert backdrop.

It’s a boutique hotel with just sixty rooms.

Amenities

As mentioned, this resort includes a staggering nine pool all on the property. The infinity pool and spa are available to all guests and Canyon Grill offers a poolside lunch and drink service. Private cabanas are also available, which include full bathrooms, sitting areas, lounge chairs and Wi-Fi access.

The Surge Splash Pad is great for guests with children, featuring falling buckets of water, characters and more fun for little ones. If you’re a parent who wants to relax while your kids enjoy the splash pad you can soak in the hot tub or rent a cabana surrounding this area as well.

J&G Steakhouse

The property’s signature restaurant is the elegant J&G Steakhouse. Here you’ll find floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of Scottsdale, and the menu shifts seasonally but always include prime cuts of meat and fresh seafood.

The bar includes craft cocktails and the wine list at J&G Steakhouse has often been cited as a “Best Of” winner by Wine Spectator.

The steakhouse also offers outdoor dining and frequent live music.

The Rooms

The guestrooms, called Canyon Suites, feature desert-themed original art and Luxury Collection Italian, hypoallergenic bedding. The king beds each have 300-count sheet sets and the rooms also include 42-inch flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.

The standard rooms extend 600 square feet and features include marble bathrooms with separate showers and baths, work desks, private terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of either the desert, golf course, city, mountains or pool.

Another room option is the two- or three-bedroom suites. There are two possibilities, an 1800 square feet suite and a 3000 square feet room. Each offers a spacious living room and private terrace along with a mini bar, a Bose stereo system and a four person dining table.

The Spa

The Spa, aptly named The Centre for Well-Being, features an array of services based on both European and Eastern practices. The signature treatments frequently involve plants and minerals found in the Southwest, adding regional influence to the services.

As well as an exciting service menu the spa is also home to a professional-quality fitness center, scheduled group exercise classes and amenities such as steam rooms, saunas, Swiss showers and whirlpools.

The Kids Club
