Conde Nast Traveler recently announced the winner for its prized hotel of the year award. The winner, by the acclaim of the magazine’s 300,000 readers, is the awe inspiring Ballyfin Hotel in County Laois Ireland. As a matter of fact, three hotels on the Emerald Isle actually made it to the top ten in world wide voting.
The Ballyfin is a Georgian style summer house and retreat complete with twenty rooms furnished for royalty. The hotel comprises 614 acres where you can actually have your butler take you for a quiet row in your own private row boat out on the hotel’s beautiful lake. It has four poster canopy beds in all of the bedrooms with textured wallpaper and gold laden mirrors.
The Ballyfin Hotel received a 99.11 overall ranking from Conde Nast readers. The Conde Nast readers chose the Ballyfin from 7,394 hotels from around the world.
